There’s a Place for You in Utah: School Resource Officer

School Resource Officers (SROs) work within elementary, middle and high schools to maintain a safe, healthy and productive learning environment while acting as a positive role model for students.

Day-to-day, SROs act as a liaison between the School District and their respective Police Departments to facilitate cooperative, proactive, and cohesive communication.

Being a School Resource Officer requires a combination of engaging with the school community, educating students about crime prevention and connecting them to resources, and responding to on-campus calls and deterring crime on campus.

If you are interested in engaging with your community as a School Resource Officer, consider becoming an SRO in Utah, today!
